When they go aerial
become like a bird
deny gravity
imagine wings like Icarus
Flipping, soaring
swerving in air
like a falcon diving
in fascination
leaning towards
a running
chase
I wonder what carvings they
leave in the air marking
territory for
winged ones
Eventually they fall
however waxen wings they
have not placed
upon their body,
landing with wisdom of birds
who practice earthly
martial arts
Remembering
legs they swerve and verve
their way back
to soil softly she
embraces them
