Love Note to a Bee

Not just because of your honey

or your propolis

Or your sweet buzz or fuzz

Nor because I love watching you

Pollinate flowers

Nor because of your masterful

hives, dripping in sweet magnificence,

geometric wizardry

Nor because of your over fifty million

years of presence on the planet

Maybe because even though you can sting

I feel love and safety around you in the garden

please continue to thrive despite the poor choices

in your world garden

you are necessary

you are love
