Dawning

Even the birds tired

This morning

After galloping rains

And tornado warning

Yesterday still spinning

In morning air

Only the lonely rooster

Crows here with the lone

Lowing toad

responding be well, be well

their voices etching into

dark morning air

scratching the sun to rise
